About

Over 30 Years Inside the System

Paul Parker is a death investigation professional, law enforcement veteran, published author, and civilian oversight executive with over 30 years of experience across some of the most complex medicolegal systems in the country.

He served as Chief Deputy Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, as Executive Officer of the San Diego Citizens’ Law Enforcement Review Board — where he oversaw in-custody and law enforcement-involved death investigations for four years — and in senior roles at Medical Examiner offices in Clark County (Nevada), Pinal County (Arizona), San Diego County, and Maricopa County (Arizona).

He is the author of In the Shadows of Death: Writing Life’s Final Chapter and the creator of Inside Death Investigation with Paul Parker on YouTube.
